I am Justin Shine, owner and lead builder of Shine Woodshop.
Who We Are
The story starts from the early days of my childhood spending time scraping together skateboard ramps with my Grandpa, to hours fueled by firelight and Coors light spent turning forgotten logs into something useful with my buddies, to crafting pieces that would be the foundation of my families’ home. The most meaningful moments of my life have been spent building. Now I want to build products that will build experiences for other people. Products that will bring people together to create their meaningful moments. Products that will last generations.
Our Values
Nature: Growing up around and serving in the military I have lived in geographically diverse places and the unique beauty of nature across the world is a source of inspiration and peace for me. Shine Woodshop uses natural materials to create furniture that will bring those same feelings into your space.
Responsibility: To honor the trees that wood comes from, Shine Woodshop is committed to prioritizing the use of salvaged, locally sourced Pacific Northwest products. We also prioritize using the best products and services that are also focused on responsible business practices.
Quality: We are committed to providing customers with the highest quality products and bringing the highest level of craftsmanship.
Giving back: Giving back is important and foundational to Shine Woodshop. Currently 1% of sales are earmarked for environmental causes focused on planting trees. We have partnered with One Tree Planted to help support this cause. We are always looking for other ways and partners that align with our values.
